Teslin River - Guide Book - Printed book
85 pages, includes Table of Contents, Index, Bibliography, maps, history and dozens of current and historical photographs. Ring bound along top for ease in following maps downriver. Map scale approximately 1:65,000. Size: 7" x 8-1/2"
The Teslin River book begins at Johnson's Crossing and guides the river traveler to the confluence with the Yukon River at Hootalinqua, and continues down the Yukon River to Carmacks. Very desirable for its almost untouched wilderness, excellent fishing and beautiful scenery, this tributary of the Yukon River also offers a spattering of historical remains. This is a great starter river for the wilderness adventurer. Attention: A recent slide on the left limit at Henry Island (about M109.5/Km176) has significantly altered the channel and is in the process of cutting away the island. Sweepers and other debris may be encountered in the area as well as possibly new gravel/sand bars. There will be an update in the spring.
